The Rescue Diver course is often described as the most rewarding and fun scuba course. You’ll learn how to prevent and manage problems in the water, assist other divers, and gain the confidence to handle real-world scenarios. At Diving with Moon, the course is taught privately or in very small groups in Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, and Pompano.

Course Structure & What You’ll Learn
The course typically takes 2–3 days and includes:

  • Knowledge development (PADI eLearning or classroom)

  • Rescue exercises in confined water

  • Scenario-based training in open water (reefs, wrecks, or Blue Heron Bridge)

  • Emergency oxygen administration and first aid practice

Where We Train

  • Blue Heron Bridge (Riviera Beach): Perfect for scenario drills in calm conditions

  • Palm Beach & Boynton reefs: Simulated rescues in realistic environments

  • Pompano wrecks: For advanced practice dives

Prerequisites

  • Must be at least 12 years old

  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

  • Current EFR (Emergency First Response) certification within 24 months (can be taken alongside Rescue)
